Meet Dr. Matthew Sloan

Excellent Doctor & Surgeon! VERY EXCELLENT DOCTOR AND SURGEON!!! I honestly have nothing negative to say about Dr. Sloan. My husband’s hip replacement went extremely well, and he is recovering very nicely right now! We are very grateful for the excellent care he received. ❤️ I normally don’t write reviews, but this time I feel like I have to address something because it has happened more than once. Even before my husband’s hip replacement surgery, we waited forever for a call back from his Medical Assistant regarding information we were supposed to receive or things Dr. Sloan requested. Unfortunately, we never received a call back, and at the time, we let it go. After the surgery and his follow-up appointment, my husband was supposed to receive another call from the Medical Assistant with information Dr. Sloan wanted him to have. We called several times over the course of weeks and left multiple messages, but again, we never received a call back. My husband eventually had to drive directly to the office just to get the information he needed. So, please, do your job, dear Medical Assistant. Communication and follow-up are very important, especially when it involves a patient recovering from surgery. I am also a Medical Assistant, so I understand how this works and how important it is to follow up with patients. Again, Dr. Sloan is an excellent doctor and surgeon, and we are extremely happy with my husband’s surgery and recovery. This review is specifically about the lack of communication and follow-up from the Medical Assistant.

I finally had knee replacement surgery on a knee that I’ve been dealing with for over 50 years. Dr. Sloan was the right person for me. He and his staff were great, they put my mind at ease prior to surgery.

Dr. Sloan did a physical evaluation of my hips motility, and flexibility, and answered all my concerns on hip replacements. Brilliant, down-to-earth, wants go assess hip in 6 months. Nice guy!

Excellent experience having a total knee replacement by Dr. Sloan. Every question was answered and all details were taken care of by him and his staff. I had repeatedly heard wonderful recommendations from other patients as well as medical personnel, while having the various tests & scans done. My day surgery went as planned and my recovery has been amazing!

Dr Sloan did my right knee a year ago and a am super pleased with my new knee. Looking forward to getting my left knee replaced.

Pre-op visits were comprehensive and comfortable, which is the extent of what I can comment on at this juncture. My procedure is in the near future.

I went to my 1 year follow up appt. for my anterior hip replacement at the Highlands Common satellite clinic. I checked in and within 2/3 minutes was getting xrays and brought to the room to wait for Dr. Sloan. Immediately, Denise came in for the preliminary questions and exam. When she was done, Dr. Sloan came in, without delay, to show and discuss the xray and give the good news that all was well. I was out and in my car within 20-25 minutes. Overall, Dr. Sloan and his team are top notch and I can not recommend this practice any higher than I have since the start of this experience. A+ rating
