Welcome to The Hip and Knee Relief Website

Dr. Matthew Sloan is a board-certified orthopedic specialist and fellowship-trained hip and knee surgeon. Dr. Sloan has broad experience in clinical practice as well as research. Dr. Sloan currently practices at Orthopedic Affiliates in Concord, MA where he is the first fellowship-trained total joint replacement surgeon to bring the advanced techniques he mastered in Boston to the Emerson Hospital community. He has brought his skills in the treatment of total joint infections, revision surgeries, and periprosthetic fractures (broken bones around hip and knee replacement) to the area, so that patients no longer need to travel to the city for these services.

The Hip and Knee Relief Website is founded by Dr. Sloan to serve as a comprehensive educational resource to provide the public with clear, high quality, evidence-based information. This information is not only about surgical treatment, but provides an unbiased source of advice on all possible alternatives to surgery, including lifestyle modifications, holistic wellness, multi-disciplinary arthritis management programs, medication options, injections and other new and evolving therapy options for hip and knee pain. We hope that this website will be a trusted source for expert hip and knee advice so that you may make the best informed decision for your health!
